In the leafy suburb of upmarket Oaklands stands a beautiful old mansion more than 30 years old. It was time for a facelift and we were asked to administer the plastic surgery.
Our first task was to demolish the old kitchen and scullery which we did and a new kitchen and scullery took its place. We did this with aplomb. We designed the kitchen in high gloss white with glass cupboards using Miele appliances specially imported in white throughout. The kitchen was designed replete with a walk in cold room and we provided new ceilings with cove and downlighters in cool white, finished off with a white chandelier in white blown glass. The entire structure was retiled in white porcelain oversized tiles. Double frosted glass doors were installed with bespoke handles leading to the dining room.
The dining room was restructured and followed in white gloss with a server and a 30-seater bespoke dining table with three sets of legs in a cluster formation and a new glass top. The dining chairs were designed by us, made of high gloss white Duco’d wood with coloured fabric to break the white theme. Double frosted doors were installed leading to the entrance hall from where guests could be ushered.
The entire residence was retiled on the ground floor with high gloss oversized white porcelain tiles while the upstairs flooring was done in an engineered solid wooden floor washed to a bespoke wax to give the desired finish and colour..
Upstairs we demolished the entire interior architecture of the old dressing room, main bedroom and bathroom entirely. It was replaced with a spacious main bedroom, main bedroom lounge, with shopfitted TV unit, cupboards and shoe cupboards. The dressing room became a jewellery box of a room with chandelier lighting, dressing table and cupboard doors done in white wooden gloss with mirrors to give the illusion of space.
The main bathroom was retiled and robed in a glass shower with new shelving and a marble vanity. A specially imported hotel mirror TV was fitted into the mirror cupboards above the vanity.
Various other bedrooms upstairs were finished off and the old dressing gown was swapped for a full ball gown fit for a queen. Happy clients once again.
